Julianne Hough Expands On Other Projects – Could She Exit “DWTS”?

Julianne Hough has a long history with Dancing With The Stars (DWTS). She initially joined the cast in 2007 as a professional dancer; however, left the show in 2009, only to return as a judge in 2014. While she would leave the show again in 2017, fans were excited when she returned last season as a co-host, replacing Tyra Banks.

Still, with all the other projects she has on the go, viewers do wonder if Julianne will end up leaving DWTS, once again.

From dancing to singing, acting, and so much more, Julianne has a busy work schedule. After initially leaving DWTS in 2009, she jumped into acting and starred in quite a few films, including Footloose and Burlesque.

Still, she has yet another movie project on the horizon, starring in a new horror flick, The Bride!, which is set to be released in October 2025.

In addition to all that, The Sun reports that Hough just opened up a dance studio called KINRGY. In fact, an employee of the studio stated to The Sun that the brand is looking to expand.

This is great; however, as Tyra Banks left DWTS because of expanding business projects, many fans of the dance show are concerned that Julianne will do the same.

Will Julianne Hough Return For DWTS Season 33?

While Hough did unexpectedly drop out of the DWTS 2024 tour recently, the good news is that she, along with fellow co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, will be participating in Season 33. Reports reveal that both are confirmed for the next season.

Although, as of this writing, any upcoming seasons after that are “up in the air”. Still, despite her busy schedule, she may manage to keep her DWST gig.

After all, the show likely feels like “home” for the talented dancer, singer, and actress; as while she has left in the past, she always figures out a way to return in a different capacity.
