Days Of Our Lives alum Lisa Rinna shocked fans when she announced her departure from the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills (RHOBH). However, now Lisa has moved on. And she chose American Horror Stories for her new acting gig, according to the Daily Mail.

The Days Of Our Lives alum, 59, headed to New Jersey to begin filming her new role. And Lisa looked noticeably different on the set of the anthology series American Horror Stories than when she appeared on the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills. Rinna wore a purple blouse with a huge bow as part of her costume. In addition, the RHOBH alum stepped out in a matching purple skirt, along with pink sandals.

However, Lisa also showed up on set with a bag that probably did not feature in her American Horror Story episode. The tote bag featured, in all capital letters, her last name “RINNA.” But the Days Of Our Lives alum did change her hair, shifting from her famous pixie cut to a hairdo that looked like Kim Novak’s style in Alfred Hitchcock’s famous thriller Vertigo.

American Horror Stories Fans React To Lisa Rinna

Rinna reportedly will star in only one episode of American Horror Stories. And social media accounts indicated that the Days Of Our Lives alum will play a woman named Sheila in an episode called Tapeworm. It reportedly will air as the third episode of the season.

But fans reacted with mixed emotions to the casting news. For instance, one wrote, “She might actually be great on the show, I just don’t want her screaming on [the Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills] anymore. I’ll check her performance out. It should be different.” And another claimed, “This is actually the best she has ever looked.” However, some threw shade. For example, one cynic tweeted, “Very excited for her 3 lines!”

As for the rumors that Lisa and her family would star in a new reality TV show? Thus far, no reports have confirmed that gossip. However, Rinna’s appearance on the American Horror Stories set might hint that she wants to put her reality TV career behind her for now.
