Days of Our Lives comings and goings reveal the return of Christie Clark and Austin Peck as Carrie Brady and Austin Reed to your small screens, but they won’t actually be on Days of Our Lives. Instead, they will be on the new Peacock streaming mini-DOOL spin-off called Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem.

Days Of Our Lives – Brings Back Old Favorites

It makes sense that Austin and Carrie would be part of this series being that the soap is also bringing back the character of Billie Reed, Austin’s younger sister played by Lisa Rinna. The story will revolve around Billie’s quest to find a missing treasure as part of her ISA agent duties. The mystery is going to take several of your Salem faves around different parts of the world. Lani (Sal Stowers) and her family will be in Florida, while John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena (Deidre Hall) take a trip overseas, as will Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal).

The last we saw Carrie and Austin, they were also living overseas and Austin was part of the last Salem-based mini-series called Chad and Abby In Paris, which was streamed on the DOOL App. The last time Carrie was actually in Salem, she and Austin were having problems and had broken up, leading Carrie to have a one-night stand with Rafe (Galen Gering). We expected that turn of events would go somewhere, but it never did.

In case you’re new to Days of Our Lives or need a refresher, Carrie Brady is the daughter of Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor). We watched her grow up on screen and she had a legendary rivalry with sister Sami (Alison Sweeney), who wanted Austin for herself when she was a teen. She even managed to pass Will off as Austin’s son for a while before Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) was found to be the father.

Austin arrived in town in the early 1990s and his sister, Billie, soon followed. We later learned Austin and Billie were the children Kate Roberts had abandoned in her earlier life, leaving them with their abusive father. Billie was in love with Bo (Peter Reckell), and gave birth to his daughter, Chelsea, while Austin has always loved Carrie and finally married her after years of on-again and off-again romance.
