DOOL comings and goings reveal that Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) is known as a villain. However, it was during her last visit to Salem when we got some serious backstory. We learned about her childhood and teen years. We found out about her pregnancy and the mobster father who sold her baby on the black market. That is what led Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) to find his son, Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams).

After she died, Steve and Kayla Brady’s (Mary Beth Evans) son eventually admitted to killing her. He has been in prison ever since.

It is confirmed that Ava isn’t dead at all, which means Joey has been serving time in prison for a murder he never committed. So, we expect Steve and Kayla to try and get Joey released. However, it won’t be right away because Ava is laying low. She won’t just have one storyline, though. It turns out that she will get involved in several different situations.

Ava is Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) secret partner. It will be interesting to find out how and why Philip got involved. Plus, head writer Ron Carlivati told Soap Opera Digest that the “mama bear” in Ava comes out regarding Tripp being accused of rape. Now, the DNA test results prove that Tripp is related to Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) baby. However, that doesn’t mean he is the father.

There is speculation that the new Titan intern, Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) is Allie’s real rapist. He is most likely Ava’s son and another member of the money laundering crime ring. In the weekly promo, DA Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) visits Ava. But is this about Tripp, Charlie, Titan, or her pre-death crimes? Or is Salem’s tough DA really a ruthless crime boss?
