Days of Our Lives News: Brandon Barash Talks Death Scene And His Bittersweet Ending

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal what Brandon Barash had to say about the exit of his character, Stefan DiMera. He talked about filming the shooting, Stefan’s deathbed and well as missing his character’s duality.

DOOL spoilers tease that Stefan’s shooting happened in just one take. However, there were a few attempts on the character leaping in front of Vivian Alamain (Robin Strasser). The actor explained, though, that it was for different camera angles, not to get the jump just right.

The actor also mentioned how fans will send him GIFs of his famous leap. He admits that with hands outstretched, it does look pretty funny.

Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate that the deathbed scenes were familiar to Barash. He explained that his father underwent heart surgery. Something went wrong and he didn’t make it. The doctors kept his father alive for a time, but he was technically brain-dead. The machines that Stefan was hooked up to were just like the ones connected to his father prior to his death.

In an interview posted on the official DOOL app, Brandon explained what he will miss the most about Stefan. He commented that it is definitely DiMera’s duality.

The actor also commented that he was surprised about how fans embraced “Stabi.” He wasn’t sure how viewers would react to Stefan and Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) pairing. Even though they instantly had a fan base, Barash knew it was only for a short time. He was surprised his role on the soap lasted as long as it did.

When Barash got the gig on Days of Our Lives, he was told it would be for a short time, two months at the most. However, he lasted approximately seven months. He feels lucky to have been able to portray the character as long as he did.
