Hope is an integral and core character and it would leave a major hole in the fabric of the cast if she leaves Salem for good. With that in mind here are five actresses that we think could take on the role and make it their own.

#1 Jessica Collins

Jessica Collins was last seen on daytime on The Young and Restless as Phyllis Newman’s (Michelle Stafford) little sister Avery Bailey Clark. Jessica portrayed Avery with a wide-eyed innocence as well as a spine of steel that perfectly matches the persona of Hope Brady.

#2 Susan Haskell

Don’t you think it’s time for Susan Haskell to return to the daytime? We do! She has the cred to take over the legacy role of Hope because she is an Emmy winner for her role as Marty Saybrook on One Life to Live. Her partner Thorsten Kaye is The Bold and the Beautiful’s Ridge Forrester and wouldn’t they have a lot more to talk about around the dinner table if she became Hope?

#3 Lesli Kay

Lesli Kay needs just one more role to cement her daytime diva-ness, don’t you think? Here’s why: She has starred on The Bold and the Beautiful, As the World Turns and General Hospital – we think it’s time she joins the only network, NBC, she hasn’t yet been on!

#4 Gina Tognoni

Gina Tognoni has been sorely missed by fans since leaving the role of Phyllis Newman on The Young and the Restless. To her credit, she has been recast before on Guiding Light and The Young and the Restless. Plus she’s also starred on One Life to Live and she is an Emmy award winner. Enough said?

#5 Kelly Sullivan

Kelly has the gravitas to play Hope, a mom, and a cop. We would love to see her back on the small screen and see how she would handle the crime in Salem as well as Hope’s numerous friendships. Isn’t it time for Hope to get a happily ever after? With a new Hope, it may be easier for fans to see her move on from Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) something that many have been reluctant to do.

      There is only 1 Hope Just as there was 1 Bo also Ciera is the only one who can play Ciera Have Hope leave with Rafe And Ciera to leave on her parents Old boat .Until she comes back when she finds Ben is alive don’t Replace either one leave door open for originals or DOOLives could go under..

      GT would be perfect to replace Hope..
      Now they need to recast Ciara. Her appearing in Ben's hallucinations has gotten old very quickly. If VK doesn't want the role find someone who does.

      I think that Leslie Kay could replace Kristian Alfonso as Hope Brady, they have both been on daytime about the same amount of time and they are the same age. Some of these other actresses are far to young looking to play the part…Shawn is supposedly around 40 now so he needs a Mom around 5659 years old not someone maybe 5 years older than him…
