Days of Our Lives Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) watches as Abby spins out of control. Abby is sick because of the letter. Kate (Lauren Koslow) reaches to pick the letter up, Jennifer grabs it and reads it. Jack tries to stop Jennifer by saying it is history. Jennifer storms off and Jack follows. J.J. Deveraux (Casey Moss) tries to talk to Jack (Matthew Ashford) but he runs out after Jennifer. Later Abby goes home and locks herself in the bathroom. Gwen fakes concern and surprises over the reveal. Chad Dimera (Billy Flynn) checks on Abby and finds her gone.

Jack Deveraux Tries To Explain

Days of Our Lives Jack follows Jennifer to the park where she cries and yells at Jack for his betrayal. Jack explains that he waited for Jennifer to come out of her coma, but the days turned into weeks which turned into months. Jack was afraid Jennifer would never open her eyes and he began to lose hope. Jack tells Jennifer that Abby kept telling him to take care of himself, so he went to the pub for dinner instead of going home alone.

Jake starts to drink and started talking to Kate about how much he loves Jennifer and how terrified he was. One night Jake has too much to drink and Kate offered to call him a cab. Instead, Jack spent one night in Kate’s bed. Jake says Kate offering to sleep on the sofa, but he started to cry. She held him as he wept and they kissed. Jennifer asks Jack if he rested or if he slept with Kate too.

Jake says he will forever regret his decision to sleep with Kate that night. Jack says he woke up alone and realized what a mistake he had made. Jake left the pub and came to the hospital to set by her side. Jack says he wrote Kate the letter because he wanted to confess. Once Jennifer woke up she had too much to deal with and Jack didn’t want to add

Days of Our Lives Jake finds Kate in her room and asks if she is ok. Kate is upset over her privacy being invaded. Kate explains to Jake how she came to sleep with Jack. Later Jack and Kate discussed the situation after Jack and Jennifer moved into the mansion which is how Gwen discovered their affair. Kate explains that she held onto the letter because it meant something to her. After kate and Jake talk they kiss.
