Lani Price (Sal Stowers) tells Gabi Hernandez (Camilla Banus) that she doesn’t control her anymore. Lani reveals that Theo Carver (Kyler Pettis) helped to under the app associated with the pacemaker. Julie’s doctor checked out the pacemaker and contacted security. Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) asks if Gabi lied about loving him. Gabi says at first it was about revenge but then she fell in love with him.

Eli asks if trying to kill his grandmother was an act of love. Gabi confronts J.J. about betraying their friendship. Julie had really believed Gabi had changed. Julie thanks Lani and apologizes for everything she said earlier. Julie thanks Lani for giving up Eli to save her. Chad Dimera (Billy Flynn) and Abby Dimera (Kate Mansi) confront Gabi as well. Lani tells Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) that he has to arrest his sister. Rafe arrests Gabi and takes her to the police station.

Days of Our Lives’ Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) gets a call that her father Bill Horton (James H. Martin) has died. Jennifer tells Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) that her father had a heart attack in his sleep. Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) supports Jennifer as they talk about her father. Doug talks about when Jennifer was born. Doug talks about protecting Bill in prison. Doug talks about why he came to Salem. Doug would have never met Julie if not for Bill. Jennifer talks about how much she missed out on not having her dad around as a child. Jennifer remembers her wedding day.

Jennifer tells the kids that Bill has died. Jack says they are booking flights for the funeral. Abby doesn’t want Chad to go with her. Abby doesn’t believe it is safe to take the kids there because of disease.

Abby asks Chad to stay in Salem with the kids. Jack tries to comfort J.J. Jack tells J.J. how extraordinary he is for what he did for Lani and Julie today. Jack is so proud of J.J. Jack and Jennifer leave, J.J. follows. Abby gives Chad instructions on taking care of the kids. Doug and Julie discuss what a day this has been. Doug tells Julie about his stroll down memory lane. Doug has been in Salem for fifty years. Julie thanks Doug for their life together. Doug and Julie dance.

Days of Our Lives’ Eli hugs Julie and his mother. Chad and Abby take Julie to meet with Doug. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) tell Lani he wishes she had confided in him. Lani approaches J.J. Deveraux (Casey Moss) and tells him thank you for helping expose Gabi. Lani starts to speak to Eli who walks away. Lani follows Eli to the park bench where he removes Gabi’s ring. Lani tells Eli she could not take the risk that Gabi would hurt his grandmother. Eli wonders why Lani told J.J. and not him.

Lani tells Eli she couldn’t tell him because Gabi would have killed Julie. Lani explains that J.J. finally got the truth out of her and helped to save Julie. Lani tells Eli that she still loves him. Eli is the only man she ever wants. Lani thought she had made peace with losing Eli. Lani says she had to stop hiding to save him from Gabi. Lani is glad she came back to be honest with Eli. Eli tells Lani how grateful he is. Lani pulls Eli into a kiss.

Days of Our Lives’ Rafe confronts Gabi at the police station. Gabi blames her actions on Stefan Dimera (Brandon Barash) being taken away from her. Gabi talks about everyone begging her to save Julie’s life. Gabi wanted payback for what happened to Stefan. Gabi wanted Julie’s family to hurt as much as she had hurt and felt the pain she felt. Gabi plays the victim as usual. Gabi asks how to explain to her daughter that she’s going back to prison.
