NBC Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Gwen Rizczeck (Emily O’Brien) is the keeper of many secrets. Although she first appeared as Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) friend in the mental institution, it was quickly revealed that she was also Jake Lambert’s (Brandon Barash) ex-girlfriend as well. It seemed that her main goal was to remain in Jake’s orbit.

That’s why it was such a shock when it was revealed that Gwen was the one who drugged Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and now it seems as though she is working with Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) to accomplish her mysterious goals. But what could she really want?

Days Of Our Lives – Revenge Against Abigail DiMera! But why?

But why would Gwen be targeting Abigail? Perhaps Abigail is just collateral damage. Perhaps the real targets are her parents, Jack Devereaux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Cady McLain)? Gwen’s partnership with Rolf means that Gwen likely has a connection to the DiMera family. There is one DiMera who is rarely mentioned that might just fit the bill, and that is Peter Blake!

Peter is Kristen DiMera’s (Stacey Haiduk) brother. Both of them were adopted by Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) as young children. While Kristen has popped in and out of Salem throughout the years, Peter hasn’t been heard from in years. He was in love with Jennifer but she ultimately chose Jack. Peter committed many nefarious acts in his quest to win Jennifer over but eventually left town. But what Peter had a child at some point? And what if Gwen is that child?

Days Of Our Lives – Poisoning Abigail DiMera

Perhaps Peter never really got over Jennifer didn’t give the childhood she deserved because of it. Abigail might have come to town seeking revenge on the woman who took so much of her father’s attention. Perhaps she wanted to make Jennifer suffer by destroying Abigail’s sanity. Or perhaps Peter sent Gwen to Salem to get revenge on Jack and Jennifer. Either scenario would explain Gwen’s connection to Rolf. Rolf is very loyal to the DiMera family. If Gwen is actually a DiMera by adoption, Rolf would certainly want to help her.
