Leo Started Investigating The Shooting Of EJ DiMera

After Leo’s arrival in Salem, he found himself entangled in numerous complicated scenarios-currently, he is probing into the shooting of the town’s outcast, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). In the May 1 episode, Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) caught Leo rummaging through her purse.

Although Leo spun a web of lies to evade being caught, Gabi accused him of pilfering the memory card from Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) camera.

Once Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) and Gabi departed, Leo began jotting down notes, declaring Gabi as his prime suspect in EJ’s shooting.

He also has his suspicions about Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), and Rafe.

Leo Could Be Putting A Target On His Own Back!

If I were in Leo’s shoes, I’d be cautious; he could be putting a target on his own back with his investigative reporting. Ava and Kristen have a history of violence — Ava was responsible for Carmine Merlino’s death (Richie Stephens), and Kristen took the life of Haley Chen (Thia Meghia).

Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and EJ would go to great lengths to safeguard their son Johnny if he were implicated as the shooter.

JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) has a hunch that Gabi might be involved and is collaborating with Rafe; while the idea of silencing Leo seems drastic, this story could be unpredictable. Additionally, there may be other suspects yet to be revealed as the plot unfolds.

Leo’s Arrival In Salem

Leo made his debut as part of a plot devised by Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) to entice Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) and undermine Titan Industries.

Following Vivian’s supposed demise, Kate Brady (Lauren Koslow) took charge, prompting Leo to wrongfully accuse Sonny of sexual harassment with falsified evidence, which included fake text messages and a secretly recorded incident.

When Will Horton (Chandler Massey) revealed Leo’s real identity as Matthew Cooper, a former escort, Leo lashed out at Will.

This lead to a confrontation that left Leo presumed dead after he struck his head on a fireplace. Contrary to expectations, Leo made a surprising return, coercing Sonny into marrying him to keep the attempted murder a secret.

A Tumultous Marriage

Their relationship was fraught with challenges, as Leo tried to seduce Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), and creating tension between Sonny and Will.

The drama intensified with the arrival of Leo’s mother, Diana Colville (Judith Chapman) in Salem, who deceitfully asserted that John Black (the late Drake Hogestyn) was Leo’s father.

In a shocking turn, Diana nearly harmed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) by injecting penicillin—an allergen for Marlena—into a batch of macarons, all in a bid to win John back. Ultimately, Leo’s manipulations fell apart, resulting in the annulment of his marriage to Sonny.

Leo Returned In 2022 Engaged To Craig Wesley

In 2022, Leo made his way back to Salem as Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) boyfriend, who is Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) father. Although real feelings blossomed, Leo’s original plan to deceive Craig ultimately led to the end of their relationship.

In a quest for revenge, Leo exposed Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn)in a tabloid and drugged Sonny to create the illusion of an affair.

He was later apprehended for the murder of Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller)but was cleared when the actual murderer was identified. Following this, Leo transformed himself into a gossip columnist for the Salem Spectator, uncovering secrets throughout the town.

Triangle With Best Friend Gwen Rizczech And Dimitri Von Leuschner, Entangled In A Baby Switch

He found himself caught in a complicated love triangle involving Dimitri Von Leuschner (Peter Porte) and his close friend Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). Dimitri, eager to secure his inheritance by marrying before he turns 40, proposed to Gwen while secretly pursuing Leo.

Leo struggled with the idea of betraying Gwen but eventually succumbed to an affair with Dimitri, resulting in intense confrontations and the unraveling of Gwen’s marriage.

Leo’s life took a new direction when he helped Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) give birth to her son, Jude Roman Brady (Oliver McLarty).

Unbeknownst to Nicole, her child had been abducted by Sloan Petersen (Jessica Serfaty) and Melinda Trask (Tina Huang), who had staged the baby’s death.

Blackmail Of Sloan, Therapy With Marlena

Leo uncovered the truth and tried to extort Sloan for the return of Nicole’s baby. Torn between guilt and the urge to act morally, Leo thought about disclosing the truth but was silenced by EJ, who bribed him to remain silent.

This inner turmoil drove Leo to seek therapy with Marlena and reconnect with his mother, who is in prison.

Rikaart’s performance as Leo has been praised for infusing the character with a distinctive mix of humor, sensitivity, and unpredictability. Leo’s sharp dialogue and extravagant style have made him a memorable character, frequently stealing the spotlight and lightening serious plots.
