She is tormenting Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) with electrodes, digital imagery, and sounds. She also drugged him so he’s hallucinating on top of it. Her goal is to condition Ben so every time he sees his new wife, he feels pain instead of love.

During an interview with Soap Opera Digest, DePaiva explained that Eve has come across Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) high-tech brainwashing techniques. She’s not going to implant a brain chip in Ben’s head, though. She is going much too much more extreme measures and will be using a variety of methods to get what she wants.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eve is using electrodes, digital imagery, drugs, sounds, and other methods to punish Ben. The actress explained to the magazine,

“It’s crazy stuff. She’s got Ben in a warehouse with electrodes, computer imagery, sounds, and all kinds of things… Eve’s also drugged Ben, so he’s hallucinating.”

DOOL Spoilers – Conditioning Ben Weston

DePaiva explained to the publication that all of these techniques are part of her plan to condition Ben. What she wants is every single time he sees Ciara or thinks of her, he doesn’t feel love. Instead, he feels pain and it seems that she might be successful.

Ciara and Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) save Ben after Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) goes to Salem and informs them of Eve’s dark turn. However, despite being back at home with his bride, he ends up suffering from horrific nightmares.

His disturbing dreams have him strangling his new wife and there is a real concern that those images in his head could actually happen in real life.
