In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, head writer Ron Carlivati teased what to expect during February Sweeps. One character he discussed with passion was Doug.

“I think it’s important to honor the actor and the character and the longevity, and also for the fans that have watched that person for so many years.”

Death In the Family

Days of Our Lives spoilers confirm that there will be a death in Doug’s family. There were no hints on who that could be. After all, Doug and Julie are tied with the Brady and Horton families, which are pretty large in number. One possibility is that it might be JJ Deveraux since it was just reported that actor Casey Moss would be leaving Salem.
