He simply keeps quiet because that is what Kate wants. Unfortunately, neither of them realize that keeping the secret is actually doing more harm than if they confessed right from the start.

Jake (Brandon Barash) bought Kate jewelry for Christmas, but couldn’t let her open it without exposing their affair. Then, Gwen will book a room at the Salem Inn using Abigail’s name. She makes sure that Chad finds out about the hotel without her having to mention anything. It turns out that she is right and as usual, Chad assumes that Abigail is getting freaky with Jake at the Salem Inn.
