NBC Days of our Lives spoilers show that Salem bad boy Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning) was a good boy when we first met him. He was eager to get his boss Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) smoothies and didn’t even break a sweat when they ended up all over his designer shirt.
Then, in a flash he conked his mom Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) on the head, kidnapped her and is holding her hostage with a gag in her mouth. He did all of that because she discovered that he raped Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in London and wants him to confess since his brother Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is being blamed for the crime. Charlie is dead set against confessing and went to the very dark side when pushed.
How is it possible to explain Charlie’s whiplash transformation from shy intern to angry rapist?
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Charlie Dale Is A Complicated character
Charlie (Mike C. Manning) was brought to Salem with the promise that there was something a bit amiss in his background. But no one could have figured he was the son of presumed dead Ava, and the one who raped Allie.
And yet both of these things are true although the circle of people how know it is small. But it won’t last for long.
DOOL Spoilers – Charlie Dale Is Playing A Dangerous Game
Charlie is adorable when he is with Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), all warm and fuzzy, acquiescing and most especially putting up with her crazy family.
With what we know about him, how is it going to be possible to keep the character on the canvas when the whole ugly truth about his past and present behavior is exposed?
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Who Will Learn Charlie Dale’s Ominous Secret?
Soaps have a tried and true, time honored storytelling device they employ in situations precisely such as this, when one part of a character is utterly despicable and seemingly beyond redemption. It’s called DID or Dissociative Identity Disorder.
It’s been used to great effect to explain and redeem characters whose actions were otherwise too heinous to accept in normal society. Does Charlie have DID? He sure looked entirely different when he was yelling at Ava, with different mannerisms, speech patterns etc.
With Claire he is completely dissimilar. And DID would explain how Charlie could have alters or express completely different facets of his personality in different situations. Is this the next terrifying thing we learn about Charlie?

Charlie. Is bad like his mom
Clear Tripp of this crime!
I THINK that the writers would stop dragging this rape story on, it is getting really boring, i have watched days for over 50 yrs and they have dragged certain stories on, like when Marlana was possessed, that was really dragged on. lets get this over with, getting tired this, this is christmas and writers r still writing for the second Christmas negativity and violence, why cant we have a happy Christmas story, so far still very negative.
No he did the crime pay the time Hes not Did hes just psycho
Another wash, rinse, repeat storyline from Ron Carlivatti. If he could come up with something original it would be a miracle. Last year Abigail played the story out with the diagnosis of DID. Time for new writers.
No. He raped Allie, actions have consequences. Put him behind bars
I mean they redeemed a serial killer and 3 other rapists (jack, kristen, and Ava (sorta)) so I think to throw a reused curveball his father will end up being a trash father and abusive so he has some impulsive anger disorder ( I have no clue if that is a real thing) or DID.
Charlie is the bad seed. I like Ava. It seems like the same drug Gwen used on Abigail. I’m thinking that there is a blood relation like brother and sister between Charlie and Gwen and Ava is their mom.
