The soap announced that Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon are coming to Salem and pondered who they could be playing. That led to a lot of comments, so let’s get started.

DOOL spoilers reveal that a photo of Cherie and Al was posted on the soap’s Instagram account. Cherie has long, brown hair and is wearing a brightly colored dress, which is quite form-hugging.

This leads us to agree with fans that Cherie must be playing Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Camila Banus).

As fans recall, Gabi was previously played by actress Camila Banus. When asked if she was happy how Gabi was written out, the actress commented NO in capital letters on social media.

At the time that Banus existed, Gabi was put in prison for killing Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). This is a crime that Gabi still says she didn’t commit.

Plus, Gabi broke her leg in prison as a message from Clyde Weston (James Read) to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that the picture on Instagram has Cherie posing with Al Calderon. Al has short dark hair and some facial scruff.

Smiling widely while embracing Cherie, Al is wearing a much-too-short cropped tee. Let me tell ya, some of the comments on the actor’s apparel are hilarious

Moving on, Al could be playing Sonny Kiriakis (last played by Zach Tinker). Some other guesses are Dario Hernandez (last played by Jordi Vilasuso). However, Al seems a bit too young to play someone Dario’s age, so Sonny seems more likely.

As for the actors, Cherie is of Spanish, Dominican, Puerto-Rican, Taino Native American, Italian, and Sicilian descent. Cherie has been in Banshee, Maya, Pretty Little Liars, NCIS, and much more.

As for Al, you might recognize him from Detachment, Summer Camp, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU), Person of Interest, and other projects. In addition to acting, Al is credited with writing the song “Electric” in “He’s All That.” Al also performed songs for “Hello Again.”
