Clyde is overjoyed that his son killed Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Hartley). That is, until he finds out that Ben didn’t do it and has been framed.

Read explained that despite Clyde not being a good guy, he has always cared about Ben. It’s difficult to see that sometimes because Clyde always seems to do the wrong thing. It seems like that is going to be an element in this story, too.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal Clyde is thrilled to find out that Jordan is dead. Even though that was his stepdaughter, the two never got along. Jordan intentionally caused a car crash that killed her pregnant mother. She was also responsible for taking Ben away from his father. Although she had good reasons for doing that, Clyde can’t see it through anyone’s eyes but his own.

When Clyde sees Ben at the prison, he raves about Ben finally taking care of business. However, Ben has to stop him and explain that he didn’t murder Jordan. He discussed the circumstances that led to his conviction, and the person who framed him.

It gets even worse when Clyde doesn’t stick to his part of the deal and lives are at risk, including Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) and an innocent baby.
