Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Did Dr Rolf Turn Steve Into Stefano Using His Bionic Eye?

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) could have turned Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) into Stefano DiMera (formerly Joseph Mascolo) by using his bionic eye, putting a control device in it in much the same way that he reactivated the control chip in Hope Brady’s (Kristian Alfonso) brain that Stefano put in years ago by implanting something in her neck, therefore turning her into Princess Gina Von Amberg!

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – Mind Control And Control Of Bodies Via Devices Is Nothing New For The DiMeras

Longtime Days of Our Lives viewers will recall when Stefano had that control chip put into Hope’s brain and controlled her via satellite. Now, their company, called “Visionary Bionics” has developed not only Steve’s bionic eye, which Stefan O. DiMera (Brandon Barash) had used for corporate espionage, as a camera sending back images to him, but his widow, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) got an app for her phone from them that is tuned to Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) pacemaker, by which she could turn up her heart rate and literally explode her heart – which was Stefan’s! – inside of her if she wanted to!

Is it so strange to think that perhaps Rolf used Steve’s bionic eye to make him compliant so that he could implant a chip in his brain, turning him into Stefano DiMera inside Steve’s body? Steve had previously told Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) some months back on the phone that he intended to have the bionic eye removed because it got him in trouble and imprisoned for quite some time because of the corporate spying.

He had then sought to take down Stefan once and for all, but it never happened. Perhaps that is because the original Stefano was gravely ill, but possibly still alive and that was when Rolf convinced him to let him “transfer his essence” to Steve’s body, which was younger, stronger, healthier, and minus heart disease, cancer, and diabetes, not to mention an appreciable amount of weight “loss” compared to Stefano’s original body!

DOOL Spoilers – There Was A Door With Stefano DiMera’s Initials On It In Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s Nashville Facility

Days of Our Lives viewers will recall that there was a door in Rolf’s Nashville “resurrection warehouse” with Stefano’s initials, indicating that Stefano may have been behind it waiting for Rolf to develop a way for the Phoenix to rise once more, but then the explosion happened, and Stefano, among others, had to be moved elsewhere for their own safety. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk), Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), and Rolf himself escaped with the apparent help of Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer); even though neither he nor Jack may have known about other patients who were awaiting life giving procedures.

Rolf probably made sure Stefano was out of the building and safely whisked away before anyone else was, after all, Xander didn’t even know he was alive until much later although he knew Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) was and Jack, who he brought back to Salem himself.

Kristin knew Rolf got out since he made her the Nicole mask. But neither seem to know about Stefano! From that time to when Steve stopped calling Kayla, which is when the procedure had to have taken place, Stefano must have been deathly ill and awaiting answers, a serum, something, from Rolf! Stefano has accepted that being in a body of a man he hates is better than the alternative, which apparently was death!
