Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Did Stefano Help Restore Steve’s Eye?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that there seems to be more to “Stefano DiMera’s” (Stephen Nichols) return than originally thought. It seemed as though Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) had just transferred Stefano’s memories into Steve Johnson’s body, but Steve only had one eye. Is this really Steve, or did “Stefano” simply have plastic surgery to look like Steve? Or is this actually Stefano with plastic surgery to look like Steve?

If this were truly Stefano, why would he wait as long as he has to return? And why go to all the trouble of making himself look like Steve Johnson, of all people? It seems much more likely that Rolf grew tired of waiting for Stefano to return, or perhaps had to face the fact that the real Stefano is dead. So much like the way he restored Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso) in Hope Williams’ body, that he decided to create his own Stefano.

DOOL Spoilers – But Dr. Rolf wouldn’t want “Stefano” to know he isn’t the real deal

Rolf may not want to let Steve as Stefano know that he isn’t the real deal. In his mind, the world needs Stefano DiMera. There’s no telling how he would react if he knew he was basically just a copy. So Rolf likely restored Steve Johnson’s eyes, and implanted Stefano’s memories in him via a chip. Rolf got a version of his dear friend Stefano back, and was able to use one of Stefano’s greatest enemies to bring him back.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers – The Danger is real no matter what

Regardless of whether this is Stefano with Steve’s fact or Steve with Stefano’s memories, it won’t change the danger that everyone in Salem is in now that for all intents and purposes, Stefano is back to continue his reign of terror. The DiMera family has needed a strong leader and now, look for him to get revenge on all of this enemies, and try to take Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) as his queen of the night once more.
