Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) will learn what really happened to his mother. But he’ll question why Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) didn’t send him psychic messages that she was alive and where she was?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Susan Banks Was Gone Nearly A Year

Susan had been gone nearly a year before Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) recovered memories she’d blocked out about Susan walking away from the car before the explosion.

EJ had been in a car not far behind them on the road that night, as a hallucinating Ava took directions from her hallucinated dead son Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning).

He was trying desperately to save his mother from Ava, who had kidnapped Susan after Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) had refused to kill her, although he took revenge on Xander later.

EJ got to the crash scene too late to save his mother, and it must have been after Ava and Susan left the car, but too far away to see them. The car exploded and Susan and Ava were both presumed dead until Ava showed up a couple of weeks later and Susan was rescued recently.

DOOL Spoilers – Now The Truth Is Known, Why Didn’t Susan Banks Reach Out?

EJ sat on the cliff overlooking the crash scene and cried and drank, and drank and cried, after Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) showed up, keeping him from rushing down.

The EMTs who arrived fairly quickly came to a car already fully engulfed in flames, with no signs of life-yet no proof of death either. No burned bodies, not even bones could be found-no evidence anyone had escaped, so either Susan’s rescuer paid off the EMTs or they arrived after Susan and Ava left.

Now the question that EJ has for his mother is why didn’t she reach out to him with psychic messages instead of Ava? He gets that Edmund Crumb (Adam Caine) wouldn’t let her use the phone and was obsessed with her!

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Would He Have Paid Attention And Listened?

Susan asks EJ, if she had tried to reach out psychically, would he have paid attention and listened? She tells him one reason she reached out to Ava after sensing she remembered what happened is her listening and talking to her dead son in the car.

Susan didn’t sense anyone from the beyond so she knew Ava was hallucinating Charlie and it wasn’t his ghost, but she also knew Ava could receive messages that way.

EJ had always tolerated Susan’s strange beliefs, dress and behavior, but that’s a son’s love for his mother in spite of her quirks.

Susan knew that EJ would think any messages she tried to send were hogwash, and wouldn’t be able to receive or interpret them-he’s just not one to suspend disbelief.
