Even though Nicole is known for getting around Salem, she loves Eric and is faithful to him. This scene is most likely the result of an altercation between Lucas and Nicole. They probably get into another argument over Allie. Lucas either trips backward and falls on the couch or perhaps Nicole even shoves him.

As for how Nicole accidentally fell on top of another man, Lucas might have reached for Nicole to stop him from falling, only to bring her crashing down onto him. However, will Eric believe the story?
