She tries to force Jake to remember being Stefan. However, the mechanic isn’t interested in her help. He thinks Gabi is crazy and he has more pressing concerns than indulging in her Stefan delusions.

If he had to lay low to protect Gabi, then wouldn’t it be safer for him to be somewhere besides Salem?

He’s heard the stories from Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal). He’s fascinated by Stefan but truly believes that he is not that same man.

Even though Gabi thinks finding out the truth about Jake/Stefan is the most important thing to do right now. However, Jake has more pressing concerns. He is in a boatload of trouble and some men beat up Ben in order to send Jake a message. He will be questioned not just by Ben and Ciara, but by Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) as well. Jake doesn’t have time to entertain Gabi’s theory. But the more she pushes, the more Jake will try to avoid her.

He is in trouble with some very bad people and it most likely has something to do with money. He also is hiding something about his past, but it might not have anything to do with Stefan. Unfortunately, this trouble that he’s in could end up affecting other people in Salem. Could Gabi be the next person targeted and if so, how will Jake handle it?
