DOOL spoilers reveal that when Gwen first came to Salem, she was keeping a big secret. At first her storyline revolved around Claire Brady (played at the time by Olivia Rose Keegan, then Isabel Durant). Then, Gwen’s story moved to Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) before she landed a job working for Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller).

Once Gwen befriended Abigail and became the “Chabby” nanny, her secrets began coming out. Fans learned that Gwen was the secret love child of Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Instead of reading out to her father and stepsister, though, Gwen wanted to destroy lives.

DOOL Spoilers – Losing Jack Deveraux

Gwen certainly isn’t a fan-favorite and her list of sins keeps growing. Gwen showed some progress when she moved into the Horton house. Gwen’s desire to be loved by her biological father compelled her to grow a heart. Unfortunately, Gwen had the guilt but it didn’t stop her from lying and making bad decisions. Eventually, Gwen lost Jack and the only person left in her corner is Xander.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Kristen DiMera’s Escape

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Gwen was already insecure about her relationship with Xander when Kristen came into her life. Kristen coerced Gwen into helping her escape by using that insecurity. If Gwen refused, then Kristen would tell Xander the truth about what really happened to Sarah. Kristen told Gwen that if the truth came out, then Xander would leave her and rush to save Sarah.

So, Gwen and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) joined forces to prevent Kristen from going to Statesville. Despite the plan being a success, Gwen will continue to struggle with this new secret.

DOOL Spoilers – ‘Xarah’ Guilt And Redemption

Since Xander was the last person who visited Kristen before the transfer, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) brings him in for questioning. Of course, Xander had nothing to do with it. The threat of Xander being arrested for a crime he didn’t commit isn’t enough to make Gwen come forward. Gwen is scared of what Kristen and Ava would do to her if she crossed them.

However, that could change in the next few weeks. O’Brien explained to Soap Opera Digest that Gwen is developing a real conscience.

“Gwen has developed a real conscience. Real panic sets in [when Gwen sees Rex Brady, played by Kyle Lowder]. Gwen knows it’s only a matter of time before Xander sees Rax, and when he sees Rex, he’s going to know the truth.”
