Days of our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) and Justin Kiriakis’ (Wally Kurth) is going to be a bumpy ride for everyone involved. As viewers know, they got together in the wake of Adrienne Kiriakis’ (Judi Evans) death. Some people have had a hard time accepting them as a couple. But they seem very happy with each other for now. But all that seems likely to change once Steve Johnson (Stephan Nichols) comes back to town.

Much the way Hope Williams (Kristian Alfonso) has had her identity taken over by Princess Gina, it seems the same thing has happened to Steve. It looks like when we see Steve again, he will believe himself to be Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo). Look for Steve as Stefano to resume his obsession with Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall). But what will happen when Kayla encounters Steve?

DOOL Spoilers – Steve Johnson signed divorce papers without a word to Kayla Brady

Kayla finally filed for divorce after waiting over a year for Steve to return after he had been away on an ISA mission. Steve and Kayla were at odds during this time, due to how Kayla acquired a bionic eye for Steve. She got the technology from Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) who blackmailed her into committing unethical acts. This even led to Steve being arrested for treason for time. Kayla waited for Steve to come home, but it never happened. Steve mailed the divorce papers back without a word to Kayla.

It looks as though Steve was captured at some point, although when and by whom is still up in the air. And now he believes that he is Stefano! What’s going to happen to Justin and Kayla’s newfound when she discovers this? Will she stick by Justin or will she be drawn to Steve regardless of who he thinks he is. It seems likely that Kayla will do whatever it takes to bring Steve back, especially if his prolonged absence wasn’t his fault. Will Justin support her in this effort or will he wash hands of the whole situation?
