In the weekly preview, John kisses Kristen DiMera (Eileen Davidson), who is really Satan. However, John would never betray Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). John throws his arms around “Kristen,” so he gets unshackled, which would help him escape.

DOOL spoilers reveal that John has been held hostage for days. Even though Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) almost discovered John on Halloween, “MarDevil” redirected the aspiring filmmaker. Now Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) is on the case, but has no clue that John is in the DiMera crypt.

In the preview for the week of November 22, “Kristen” continues to try and seduce John. There is an interesting scene that might upset viewers, but there are some details that suggests John has a plan.

DOOL Spoilers – Unshackled Smooch

In the preview, which was uploaded to YouTube, “Kristen” tells John to make love to her. “Kristen” slowly walks over to John and he is standing without the post behind his back. So, that indicates that he is free from his restraints. This is confirmed when John suddenly gives “Kristen” a passionate smooch.

As John leans in to kiss the devil, John’s arm can clearly be seen wrapped around her shoulder. There are no shackles, chains or anything that indicates he is bound to the DiMera crypt – except for the door, of course.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Power Of Love

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that throughout this possession storyline, the power of John and Marlena’s love has been mentioned. Not only has it been stated that John’s love for Marlena saved her from the devil 27 years ago, but there are clues sprinkled throughout various scenes.

One example is when the devil tried to kill John after the confrontation at St. Luke’s Church. The devil was not able to physically kill John. Despite Marlena being overpowered by Satan most of the time, her love was stronger and was able to physically prevent John’s death.

DOOL Spoilers – John Black’s Trick

Even though it appears that John is giving into the devil’s temptation, it’s probably a trick. John doesn’t just need to get out of the DiMera crypt, he needs to save Marlena. The kiss could be to distract “Kristen” or perhaps it is to catch the devil off guard. In any case, this is a soap, which means good will ultimately defeat evil.
