Johnny learns a lot about Sami’s younger years from Will’s script. One of the events that grabs Johnny’s interest is when Marlena was possessed by the devil. Despite his rift with Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), Johnny tells his twin sister all about it. This makes her nervous and she decides to question John Black (Drake Hogestyn) about the family’s history, including Marlena’s possession.

Days of Our Lives spoilers from the new issue of Soap Opera Digest reveal that Allie believes in hell. So, Johnny tampering with Marlena’s possession, even if it is just for a movie, makes her nervous. Allie doesn’t think that Johnny should be messing around with this, but it doesn’t sound as if he listens.

With Marlena’s second possession confirmed, it will be a bit different this time. Actress Deidre Hall said in an interview with BriefTake that Marlena gets to be quite a bit meaner and crueler this time. It is also teased that this event could rip John and Marlena’s relationship apart. It seems that it’s all triggered by Johnny putting the possession into his movie. Johnny ends up opening a door that he can’t close.

The first possession was in the early 90s and some people loved it while others hated it. So, it will certainly be interesting to see head writer Ron Carlivati’s take on repossessing Marlena and how it changes her family and relationships. It should also be interesting to see how much better the special effects will be this time around.

Will it be up to John to save Marlena once again or will someone else come in to save the day? How will Johnny cope with knowing that he caused his grandmother to be possessed by the devil all over again? We will have to keep watching the NBC soap to find out how this storyline develops over the next few weeks.
