Following her two-month stay in prison for her role in the college admissions bribery scandal, Lori Loughlin is now on two years’ supervised release. Because of this, the former When Calls the Heart actress has to get permission anytime she travels outside Southern California for work or vacation. When fans heard that a federal judge gave Loughlin permission to travel to Canada to work on an unnamed “filming production project,” they started getting hopeful. Is Lori making a return to the beloved Hallmark Channel drama When Calls the Heart?

The Boston Herald reported that the federal judge’s order allows Loughlin to travel to an unspecified location in Canada for one week at some time later this month or in early October. As Hearties may know, production for 12 episodes of season 9 began in late July and filming is usually carried out in Vancouver, British Columbia. If When Call the Heart follows its normal schedule, season 9 should debut in early 2022.
Hearties have been hoping that producers could find a way to bring Loughlin’s character, Abigail Stanton, back to the show since her release from jail. She was written out of the show in March 2019 following her arrest.

Lori Loughlin News -Is Abigail Returning To Hope Valley?

During the sixth season of When Call the Heart, producers had Abigail leave Hope Valley to care for her ailing mother. However, the show never made it clear whether her character would return or is gone for good. This open-ended way of removing Loughlin’s character from the Hallmark drama could be the perfect plan to allow her to return.

Hearties have been keeping an eye on Erin Krakow’s Instagram posts to see if there is any clue of Lori’s return. As fans know, Krakow plays Elizabeth Thatcher, Abigail’s good friend. As noted by Yahoo, one photo posted by Erin in August from a season 9 scene seems to offer some hope.

The image featured Abigail’s Café, with a painting by Abigail’s late husband displayed. Erin left the caption deliberately vague, leading fans to truly hope she would be back. Among the comments, many fans begged for Lori’s character to return, saying she had made a mistake and had paid for it. However, others did note that they would love to see Abigail return, but with a different actress in the role, “not a criminal.”

Meanwhile, Loughlin’s trip to Canada isn’t the first time she has needed permission to leave the country. Back in June, she and her husband enjoyed a luxury vacation in Mexico. In more recent news, Lori and Mossimo Giannulli have recently purchased a $13 million vacation mansion in a gated golf community in Palm Desert. While fans would love Lori to return to her role as Abigail, it is clear that she is not hurting for money right now.

      I wonder what the children trying to get into that School will think of her returning as butter wouldn't melt, goody two shoes characters? I don't know how she has the audacity to return to her cookie cutter roles after her crime against hardworking children, children who studied hard to make grades, opportunities she would swindle them out of using her privilege and money made on the back of playing dolly do gooders. Has she no shame? I used to like her but now I turn over if one of her programs comes on. I will not endorse people who would swindle children out of opportunities.

      I think Lori has been punished for the college situation. Let her to go Canada and more importantly, return to WCTH and give it the bright spot it needs. So many new characters lately and we need Abigail.
