DOOL Spoilers – Explaining Sarah Horton

Kristen admits that she did impersonate Sarah and broke up with Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) on his wedding day. However, Kristen feels it was necessary. Then, Kristen explains that after Sarah got to the island, it was clear she wasn’t well.

As Kristen went over the events leading up to landing on the island, Abigail connects the dots. Abigail realizes that the powerful hallucinogen that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) used on her is the same one Kristen injected into Sarah.

As fans recall, Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) told Gwen the drug was capable of melting brains. Abigail was lucky to recover but it seems Sarah’s brain turned to mush. Of course, Kristen tries to justify everything and claims she is “helping” Sarah and keeping the doctor “safe.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that while Kristen wonders where her hostage is, Sarah runs into Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans). The couple is disturbed and confused by the way Sarah is acting, though.

They soon discover that Sarah doesn’t know who she really is. Instead, she believes that she is the late Renee Dumonde. What’s more is that Sarah professes her love to one man, but it’s not Xander. Instead, Sarah is in love with Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis).

DOOL Spoilers – Kristen DiMera’s Justification

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Haiduk explains what Kristen tells Abigail about Sarah’s mental state.

“The drug that Abigail left behind happened to have some kind of delusional side effects. So Sarah is truly not herself anymore. Kristen explains that she had to help Sarah through this time and gave her a wonderful diary to read, Renee Dumonde’s diary. Sarah read into it however she needed to read into it. That became her journey, but it wasn’t Kristen’s fault. Right now, Sarah is definitely not Sarah.”
