Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Lamon Archey And Sal Stowers Discuss Lani And Eli’s Journey

Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) have come a long way from a one-night stand and losing their baby to a blossoming romance. It was a long road, and Archey and Stowers shared how they feel about their characters’ journey.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Archey and Stowers said they did not expect anything would come from the one-night stand. And it was a surprise when the baby storyline came out.

“I was completely shocked when the whole baby thing came up. I didn’t see (Lani’s pregnancy) coming,” Stowers said.

“I don’t think either of us thought we would end up in a relationship,” Archey added. Then the storyline moved on to Eli and Lani losing their baby, which brought the two even closer as they tried to support each other. Stowers and Archey also supported each other in real life.

“We were in that storyline for so long, and it was definitely heavy,” Stowers shared. “It was sometimes not easy to come to work, knowing we had to put ourselves in such dark places.”

“For the most part, I wanted to make sure Sal was okay, just like Eli was with Lani, helping her through the process,” Archey said.

Were Archey and Stowers hoping Eli and Lani would become a couple? Well, the two actors admitted they were also caught up in the story and were wondering what was going to happen next for Eli and Lani, especially when the heavy storyline of losing a baby wrapped up.

Stowers shared that after what Eli and Lani went through together, she and Archey “started rooting for them as a couple and for them to work out their differences. They have come a long way from the beginning.”

“I think we both knew it was coming, and I honestly loved it. I thought it was time. They deserve to be a power couple,” Archey added.

They also believe that Eli and Lani are a perfect couple. They have several things they share in common, things to bond over, and talk to each other about.
