DOOL spoilers reveal that when Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) woke up from the coma, he told Lani who really shot him. When Lani learned the truth, she rushed over to Paulina’s apartment. Eli had a bad feeling that something would happen if Lani went by herself. So, Eli had Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) call Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols).

By the time Steve arrived at Paulina’s apartment, TR was already dead. Instead of telling the truth, Paulina said she killed her ex-boyfriend.

DOOL Spoilers – Paulina Price’s Story

Paulina’s story is quickly falling apart. Despite knowing better, Lani is going along with the lie. Paulina and Lani both keep the truth from Eli and Abe Carver (James Reynolds). However, Steve tells Abe about the gun at the crime scene, which looked exactly like the weapon that was issued by the police force.

Abe will probably tell Eli about what Steve observed at the crime scene. While Abe will want answers from Paulina, Eli will work on getting the truth from Lani. Even though Paulina and Lani stick to their original story, Eli and Abe won’t stop until they get the truth.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Overwhelming Guilt

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Paulina and Lani’s lie could make the situation worse. Lani will feel guilty over Paulina facing criminal charges. Lani will also have a hard time coping with killing her own father. Then, there is the guilt that Lani feels over lying to both Eli and Abe.

It is teased that during the week of May 23, the guilt will become overwhelming for Lani. So, that could lead to her blurting out the truth.

Fans have pointed out that Lani saved both Abe and Paulina by killing TR. Even though TR didn’t have a gun on him, he did attack Abe and left him on the floor bleeding from his head. Luckily, Abe survived the blow to the head.

Lani will definitely have some issues with her career as a detective. As a law enforcement officer, Lani is supposed to follow protocol. Busting into Paulina’s apartment without backup was her first mistake. The second was not warning TR to back off or she would shoot. Then, Lani pulled the trigger without hesitating.

Due to the circumstances and Abe’s injuries, Lani might have been cleared. However, now she is lying in her statement to the police. While Lani might not go to prison for shooting TR, she could face charges of lying to the police. A civilian doing this would be understandable but police officers are held to a higher standard. Will Lani be able to escape prison? Will she end up losing her job? We will have to keep watching to find out.
