Why else would Sarah keep a pregnancy a secret from her own mother, knowing how much Maggie would be thrilled with a new baby after what happened to her first?

Maggie knows it has to be Xander’s baby and that’s why Sarah would keep that kind of secret, because Maggie would tell Xander! There’d be no reason to keep a secret like that were the baby Rex Brady’s (Kyle Lowder).

Maggie remembers that Sarah made a visit to Salem University Hospital with Rex shortly before going back to Chicago with him. That must have been when she got her pregnancy test and then tried to cover it up by having Rex go with her to imply the baby was his.

Maggie doesn’t like anything about deception and doesn’t like it when people lie-especially about important things-now, as acting head of Titan she’ll fire a lying employee in a heartbeat, and has. But of course she can’t just “fire” her own daughter even if she’s deceiving Xander and her mother-she has to wonder if Rex knows the truth.

If he doesn’t Maggie will tell him her suspicions as well-whether Sarah likes it or not. It’s just not right to deceive someone about the paternity of a child-if that baby swap hadn’t happened years ago Sarah wouldn’t have had to grieve after getting attached.

Maggie remembers when she and Sarah found out that her baby died in the nursery and Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and Xander swapped her for Rachel Black (Finlay Rose Slater).

That may have been a case of lying with good intentions, but look at the results-Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) went mad, and months later Sarah had to give back her baby.

Maggie must go to Chicago and confront her daughter and Rex and make her at least tell her the truth. But if the baby is Xander’s, as she is sure it is, he still deserves to know.
