I think putting two former flames together as police partners is just asking for trouble in Salem!

Shawn and Lani may insist their romantic history won’t be a problem, but why did the writers make such a point of bringing it up?

That makes me suspicious.

I would hate to see Lani betray Eli, especially after everything they’ve been through together.

And Jada certainly doesn’t deserve to be blindsided by Shawn developing feelings for another woman.

Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if a dangerous police investigation leads to an unexpected kiss.
