Days Of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers state that Salem’s new mayor, well “acting” mayor, is ready to shake things up in the little town. Clint Rawlings (Grayson Berry) debuted on the show this past Wednesday, July 12th, and it didn’t take him long to turn everything upside down.

He seems like a “law and order” type guy but is he really in cahoots with Nurse Whitley King (Kim Coles) to keep Abe Carver (James Reynolds) away from the comfy mayor spot, so he can have it all to himself?

It felt like Abe was declared dead, his funeral was organized, and Rawlings arrived on the scene. He created quite a stir during his first episode on Days, making it crystal clear that he was ready to “clean” the town up.

His interactions with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) seemed to imply that he has “high moral standards” and that she and her mom were bringing Salem’s reputation down.

Plus, he made quick work of firing Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) for his “fraternization” with subordinate Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu). Clint seems to ride a high horse, but is this all an act?

Days Spoilers: The Plot Twist No One Saw Coming

Clint Rawlings may have been brought into the picture and introduced to audiences, for when Abe returns. He won’t be in any position to run the city right away, so Rawlings could be part of Carver’s next storyline, as the two will likely clash over all the changes Clint wants to make or already has made.

But what if Clint is working with Nurse Whitley? She’s obviously dealing with some mental health issues; however, if Rawlings simply wanted to get Abe out of the picture for his mayoral job, then he won’t care who he works with. As long as he can find someone to do the job.

Perhaps it is Rawlings who’s calling all the shots here. It wouldn’t be overly difficult to manipulate Whitley into doing his dirty work.
