Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Several Lives In The Balance After St. Luke’s Explosion

Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates tease several lives will hang in the balance after the explosion at St. Luke’s. Ava Vitali (Tamara  Braun) sets off a bomb at Susan Banks’ (Stacy Haiduk) memorial service, hoping to kill EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) in it.

As if making sure Susan died in an explosion of the car she drove her off an embankment wasn’t enough, Ava wants EJ to die the same way. She knows that he and probably all the DiMeras will be at the memorial service, and she wants to take them all out in one fell swoop! After Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) family abandoned her and EJ made sure she had nothing left, Ava’s revenge burns in her heart and she wants explosive payback.

Ava lurks around St. Luke’s long before the service is to begin, setting a bomb with the timer on the altar. Just as the service begins, she plans to detonate the bomb.

DOOL Spoilers – Ava Vitali Reveals Herself

Ava is spotted before the service, actually at the DiMera mansion where she’s been lurking and coming in and out. She has an angry run-in with Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) who lays into her for kidnapping and killing his grandma Susan. The two one-time friends and almost lovers are now next to being enemies, due to Johnny having believed EJ’s stories about her instead of her. No amount of explanation, including her revealing his father had her son kidnapped will change anything, and Ava may have changed her mind about the bomb for Johnny’s sake. But now she’s going through with her plans whether he’s at the service and gets hurt or killed or not – she doesn’t care.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – BOOM

When the bomb does go off, it can be heard clear across Horton Town Square. Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) are talking in the square when Eric hears the blast. They rush to see St. Luke’s engulfed in flames, and start trying to save people inside. Several people they know and love, and some of their own family members’ lives hang in the balance, including Ava herself.

Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) is knocked unconscious, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) is bruised and bloody, and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) suffers smoke inhalation. Salem University Hospital will be busy for a while as victims of the bomb blast and resulting fire keep rolling in; but Ava’s intended victims seem to have escaped harm.
