Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Ted Laurent Causes Trouble Between Hope And RafeDays of Our Lives spoilers tease that her protection of Ted Laurent (Gilles Marini) by putting him in a safe house in protective custody, possibly on the way to witness protection might cause some problems between Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and her husband Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering)!

Rafe seemed suspicious about Hope’s story to him about having worked a case all night, not returning home, and then even more suspicious seeing a ferry ticket to Smith Island that she dropped. Hope had put Ted in the same cabin she and Rafe had gotten married in, using it as a safe house.

But it seems that cheaters are the ones who suspect their spouses are cheating, even if they’re not. Hope should be the suspicious one, having slapped Rafe on their wedding day after finding out through her granddaughter Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) that he’d slept with his ex-wife Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney)!

Hope seems to think Ted’s the only one who can protect her daughter Ciara (Victoria Konefal) from Ben Weston, (Robert Scott Wilson), after Ted told her that he knew things about Ben that she, Hope, didn’t. However he didn’t tell her what those things were…he let Hope fill in her own blanks! But Ted did tell her that he could make sure that Ben stays away from Ciara, and that’s what she wanted to hear!

Of course, there was a price…protecting him from Stefan DiMera (Tyler Christopher) and his goons. All this has to be a deep dark secret even from Rafe, because she probably thinks he wouldn’t understand or go along with Hope’s putting a two-faced creep like Ted Laurent into protective custody, and possibly helping him disappear into witness protection afterward!

Hope’s already lied to Rafe about her working on a case all night when she was really discussing with Ted Laurent how to protect him at his insistence, in exchange for his keeping Ben Weston, who she does not approve of, away from Ciara.

She certainly didn’t agree – although she did not say so – with Rafe insisting Ciara is a grown woman and can make her own decisions, including romantic ones.
