Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Tripp Pushes Claire Over The Edge, Lies About Dad Steve Johnson

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) will cause his ex-girlfriend-still-wannabe-girlfriend Claire Brady (Olivia Rose Keegan) to go even farther off the rails when he lies to her and tells her he’s going out of town to visit his father Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)!

As Days of Our Lives viewers know, “Patch” is headed back to Salem, and Stephen Nichols is on the set filming, but since Days of Our Lives films six months ahead, we won’t see him for a few more months! However, he’s been frequently mentioned during his absence from Salem. “Patch” is Tripp’s birth father, his mother having been Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) who had been killed by Patch and Tripp didn’t much like Patch when he found that out.

Tripp did meet him in Arizona a couple of years ago but didn’t want to get to know him much better at the time; but perhaps he’s realized family is important – or he’s really bad at making excuses! He was raised by the Dalton family after being sold on the black market by his paternal grandfather. Tripp’s hastily concocted and badly planned lie to Claire is going to cost him, however, even if Claire does misunderstand the true reason he’s leaving town and what she sees when she apparently follows him!

Tripp isn’t going that far – he’s just going to the Horton cabin probably to take some supplies for JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) and Haley Chen (Thia Megia) who are hiding out there, and he calls Claire while she is talking to Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Claire is convinced that Tripp and Haley are running off together when he tells her that, although in reality JJ and Haley are the ones who ran off together, and even though they are becoming lovers, JJ took her on the run to escape deportation.

If Claire knows anything at all about the relationship, or lack thereof, between Tripp and Patch of course she’s not going to believe him! This just sends her spiraling even farther down, and her worst fears seem to be confirmed when she gets to the Horton cabin, looks through the window and sees Tripp and Haley together!
