Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) - Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall)

Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) will have quite a bomb to drop on an unsuspecting Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). It sounds like he’s going to tell her that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is Leo Starke/Matthew Cooper’s (Greg Rikaart) birth father.

Marlena will likely be floored; John hadn’t said a word to her about it! That was exactly the response Leo’s mother, Diana Colville Cooper (Judith Chapman) expected, when she confided her secret to her old frenemy Victor!

This of course might cause some pretty hefty waves that will rock John and Marlena’s love boat until they get it all talked out. Marlena won’t take exception to the fact itself that yet another love child of John’s has materialized, the exception she’ll take will be why John didn’t tell her about it himself and let her hear it second hand.

She will likely wonder if there is more to the story than just his procrastination, she’ll wonder if there’s a reason for his procrastination, like if he is still carrying a secret torch for Diana after all these years.

Diana doesn’t seem like the Diana John knew and was engaged to….she obviously has become sneaky and jaded over the years. We don’t know a lot about the life she’s led since the mid -1980s but from what Leo has said about killing Mr. Cooper, he was trying to protect Diana.

She seems to have lived through an abusive marriage where she’d settled for whatever she could get emotionally and perhaps financially while trying to protect her son. It’s no excuse for bad behavior now, but it could explain a lot.

Days Of Our Lives – Was Diana Abused By Her Former Husband?

Little Leo may have wanted to protect her but if she experienced battered wife syndrome, where a woman “puts up with” whatever a man does to her and tries to avoid conflict and therefore more abuse. By the time Leo was old enough to fight his dad, the rage may have boiled over.
