The actor also discussed how he and co-star Evans decided to play out the romance. Even though the relationship is new for both of them, they aren’t teenagers anymore. They are in their 50s.

“Mary Beth even said, ‘One thing that’s important to me is that we’re adults, that this is an adult couple. Let’s just have fun.’ I said, ‘Sounds good to me. We’re not teenagers in love. We’re 50-year-olds in love.’”
