Craig invited Nancy to the wedding but she’s uncertain about going. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Darbo explained,

“She doesn’t want to be viewed by the other guests as that sad and lonely old woman whose husband is getting married to a young man of the same sex.”

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Nancy opens up about her insecurity and low self-esteem with Bonnie Lockhart Kiriakis (Judi Evans). Of course, Bonnie thinks the solution to Nancy’s problem is simple. Bonnie suggests that Nancy bring a date to Craig’s wedding.

Then, Bonnie pushes Nancy to try online dating. Nancy finds a potential match right away, which just happens to be Clyde.

Even though Clyde is technically a villain, fans have seen good sides to him occasionally. When Nancy and Clyde connect, there aren’t sparks right away. However, Clyde is completely honest about his past deeds and criminal history.

The truth bomb doesn’t scare Nancy off, though. After being lied to by Craig for their entire marriage, Nancy finds Clyde’s upfront and direct honesty to be refreshing. Then, Nancy opens up about her fears of attending Craig’s wedding. However, Craig gives Nancy a boost of self-esteem. Darbo told the magazine,

“… Nancy does have an appreciation for Clyde’s honesty… He gives her a jolt of self-esteem [by saying she is perfectly capable of going solo to the wedding]. She has not felt good about herself for a while and his words flatter her and give her strength.”

Even though Nancy and Clyde don’t feel sparks right away, could there be a slow-burning romance? Clyde might have a sordid past but perhaps a new love story can redeem him. We will have to keep watching the NBC soap to find out!
