Divorce will not change Steve Burton’s focus on his children. And the “Days Of Our Lives” star made his love clear in an Instagram Story in May, noted Us magazine. But in the process, Burton dropped a bombshell. “I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated,” wrote the “General Hospital” alum about his estranged wife. “She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine.”

However, Steve shared that his pride in parenting has not changed. And he added, “We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.” And just two months later, Burton filed for divorce in Orange County, California. In the divorce paperwork, Burton referred to “irreconcilable differences” as the cause of the breakup.

His decision came in the wake of Sheree’s Instagram Story featuring her baby bump. “Life sure is full of surprises!” wrote Sheree. “If you could go back, what would you tell your younger self? I would have said, ‘Follow your passions. People will hurt you, but always be kind and take the high road. Don’t be afraid to fail or try new things. Learn from your mistakes because you will make mistakes.” And she added, “Life is short, so live it and love everyone. ✨ .”

However, amid the divorce, Steve keeps his focus on the three children he shares with Sheree, noted In Touch. The proud “Days Of Our Lives” dad felt thrilled when his first child, Makena, arrived in 2003. And recently, Burton turned to Instagram to wish his now-18-year-old daughter a happy 19th birthday. “Happy 18 to my awesome daughter Makena. So crazy to watch 18 years,” shared Steve. “So proud of the young incredible woman she has become and is becoming. Super talented & Beautiful inside and out. So grateful to be her dad.”

The now-estranged spouses welcomed a son, Jack, in 2006. And Steve reportedly maintains a close relationship to his second child. For instance, he called Jack “the greatest” in an Instagram post this year. In 2014, Sheree and Steve welcomed their third child, Brooklyn. And he often posts pictures of his daughter on Instagram. For instance, Steve recently posted that he and Brooklyn enjoyed “the best time ever.”
