Robin Strasser On Resurrecting OLTL’s Dorian Lord – Why She’d Prefer To Do So On Beyond The Gates Versus General Hospital

General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that the land of Port Charles could always use a shake-up, right? There is nothing better than resurrecting a legendary character from the past to do so! Soap opera veteran, Robin Strasser, recently commented on the idea of bringing her old One Life to Live character, Dorian Lord, to the last ABC daytime drama on the air.

If Blair Cramer Can Enter Port Charles, Why Not Dorian Lord?

Dorian hasn’t graced daytime screens in a long while, although her name has been dropped here in there in PC (late 2012 and 2013).

Still, her niece, Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) traveled to the little town more recently, as one of Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) wives, so fans of the old soap have wanted more.

As OLTL and All My Children (AMC) were once on ABC (the same network GH airs on), it’s been fairly easy for the soap to reference old characters from their sister soaps of the past.

Robins Strasser’s Thoughts On Dorian Heading To Port Charles

A fan on the social media platform, X, recently posted directly to Strasser, noting, “You need to be on @GeneralHospital as a long-lost Casadine – perhaps connected to Sidwell [Carlo Rota] and is nursing Spencer [Nicholas Alexander Chavez] back to health because you are a doctor!”

The fan went on to write, “How is that for a story line @valentinifrank?” As most fans know, Frank Valentini is General Hospital’s executive producer who previously worked with Strasser on OLTL.

Strasser replied to the X user by saying, “I CAN HEAR @valentinifrank SHOUTING ‘NO’ FROM HERE — where I am also shouting NO! The Hospital is FULL!” She goes on to say, “I’d rather beat at the Gates (#BeyondTheGates;-).”

The soap legend went on to explain why the new CBS soap, Beyond the Gates, might work better for her and Dorian. Strasser states on X that, “They’d eventually open up for an Older White Lady in a GAWGEOUS outfit! I LOVE HIGH STYLE STRUTTING – apparently, so do audiences :)”
