Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that Jennifer Aniston has been trying to get her dad, John Aniston to retire for years, begging the question as to whether Victor Kiriakis will live or die in an upcoming episode of GH!

Spoilers – Victor Kiriakis Is Stabbed By Kristen DiMera Not Long After Suffering A Mild Stroke

As Days of Our Lives viewers will recall, Victor Kiriakis had a mild stroke not too long ago and had just recently been released from Salem University Hospital, and now he is stabbed by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk). In real life, the veteran actor, who has played mobster Victor Kiriakis on the popular daytime drama since 1986, suffered a massive heart attack in 2006.

That is why we see Victor mostly sitting in a chair either at home in the Kiriakis Mansion or in a restaurant and not having a lot of scenes upon his feet. Reports have popped up in various media since that time that Jennifer Aniston has been trying to get her dad to retire ever since then, fearing he would just keel over in a Days of Our Life scene someday, and in an article just this past June 2019 she mentioned that he is indeed set to retire “soon” although we cannot guess at what he might mean by “soon” when talking to her.

The scenes that are playing out now, however, would have likely been filmed during the last six months of 2019, so it is possible that John Aniston’s retirement may be written on Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis’ death! However, as of this writing neither John himself nor Days of Our Lives have confirmed his retirement plans officially. Fans will have to wait and see!

However, given his advanced age of 86 and his health concerns, there may well be an announcement forthcoming, but then again, there may not! Bill Hayes, who plays Doug Williams is 95, five years shy of the century mark and he’s still on the show, although he doesn’t appear as often as he once did, and the same may eventually happen with John as Victor – he may just not appear quite as often as he once did and slow down a little bit.

Days Of Our Lives spoilers say that Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will hold vigil at her grandfather’s bedside at Salem University Hospital during the week of April 27. So we know he initially does survive and a photo still from an early release of the next Soap Opera Digest shows him awake and looking at her; however, things could always go from bad to worse – characters have been injured and initially shown to have survived, then have relapses and have passed away anyway.

This sometimes sadly happens in real life as well. Victor is hooked up to an IV and a monitor in the photo still. It doesn’t look like Victor will die from that photo, at least not in the next week or two. So far, the retirement rumors concerning John Aniston are rumors, until they are proven to be true and even then Victor may not be killed off, he may just move out of Salem!
