General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Wanted Scorpio Distracted – Had Holly Killed – But Did He?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers revealed that the devious Peter August (Wes Ramsey) might have put out a hit on the former wife of Port Charles district attorney, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers). As some GH fans know, not long ago Peter got on the phone with a mysterious someone and suggested that it was time for Scorpio to experience a “diversion.” Whether the death of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) might be the diversion Peter was referring to, however, still isn’t a hundred percent clear.

GH viewers recently watched as Scorpio ditched the birthday party of little Violet Finn (Jophielle Love). This was because Scorpio must have had his belly full of Peter August’s insufferable presence. As viewers know, Scorpio attempted to be polite and even tried to pretend to believe that Peter might indeed be innocent of all the charges that are now leveled against Dr. Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati). However, Scorpio is like a dog with a bone. GH fans know that he believes with every fiber of his existence that Peter is dead guilty!

With that in mind, Scorpio ditched Violet’s birthday party at the soonest opportune moment. From there, Scorpio headed over to Peter’s apartment where he broke in and began to snoop around. Of course, GH fans know that Scorpio got his own surprised moments later when Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) broke in to Peter’s apartment shortly thereafter.

The bottom line here is that Peter was already suspicious of Scorpio and his intentions before Scorpio left the party. In order to maintain his framing of Dr. Obrecht for murder and attempted murder, Peter needed desperately to throw any investigation off his scent. That’s why viewers believe it was Peter who set things up for Scorpio to receive a phone call with the dire news of Holly Sutton’s death.

With Scorpio consumed with grief, is he really going to spend all his time looking into whether Liesl Obrecht is innocent and Peter is guilty?

GH Spoilers – Robert Scorpio Had Something Special

Now, it bears mentioning that Scorpio simply received a mysterious phone call wherein the caller told him Holly Sutton had died. The first question then that many GH fans have is, this: “was the caller telling the truth?” Although viewers watched a stricken Scorpio head back to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) house where he delivered the terrible news, did Scorpio verify the authenticity of the information he was given? Scorpio didn’t appear to recognize the voice on the other end of the line when he received the call. Is it possible someone was lying about Holly’s death? Might it not be a ruse simply designed to throw Scorpio for a loop for a limited time?

If the news is factual, and Holly is indeed dead, it won’t be for the first time. GH fans who have watched General Hospital for a long time know that Scorpio and Anna used to be one of the show’s biggest power couples back in the 1980s. At one point, they moved from Port Charles back to Scorpio’s native Australia. Sadly, the two got in a car accident and Scorpio thought Holly had died. (Everybody thought she died.) However, it was revealed years later that Holly had lived, but she had been in a coma and her parents simply never told Scorpio a thing about it.

If Scorpio actually has to face losing Holly for a second time, fans might agree that this is certainly something he doesn’t deserve.

GH fans might agree that if it’s revealed that Holly has been murdered, Scorpio might put two and two together and find out that Peter was behind the hit. If that happens, Peter’s lease on life might be running out. Fans should remember that while Robert is working on the side of the law in his day job right now, he used to be a member of an intelligence organization. In fact, Scorpio was a former spy and may have had his own version of a license to kill.

Of course, only time will tell if Holly was murdered. Only time will tell if Peter was behind her death if she was. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess but there are some who wonder if someone might not be attempting to play a game of “turn about is fair play.” In other words, might someone be attempting to frame Peter right now?
