The DiMeras give the Duggars a run for their money when it comes to the number of children in one family. With so many offspring stemming back to one man, it’s hard to remember just how many kids Stefano actually had. Andre, Benjy, Renee, Megan, Lexi, EJ, Chad, Stefan, and Jake are all his biological heirs, although the last two were not revealed until after his death. Additionally, the Phoenix had three adopted children, Tony, Kristen, and Peter, rounding out the dastardly clan to an even dirty dozen.
While Andre, Benjy, Renee, and Jake have all met their demise, the others continue to drift in and out of town, taking up varying residencies at the DiMera mansion, as they wreck havoc on the lives of the Hortons, Kirikakises, and Devereauxs. All except one. Where is Peter Blake?
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Does Kristen DiMera Ever See Her Biological Brother?
It’s been more than 25 years since the oft-forgotten DiMera child was last seen in Salem. Peter left Salem in 1998 and has never returned. Occasionally he is mentioned as having the deciding vote for a DiMera CEO takeover or important shares that a sibling needs.
So we know he is still alive and connected to the company. But where has he been hiding out the past 26 years? And why does no one in the family ever gas up the private jet and go visit him?
Peter Blake (played by Jason Brooks) is the biological brother of Kristen and the son of Rachel Blake. When he first came to town it was as his father’s lackey, sent to kill John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and oversee a drug trafficking ring operating through The Blue Note.
But when he met and fall head over heels in love with presumed-widower Jennifer Horton Devereaux (then Melissa Reeves), he vowed to leave the life of crime behind him. Easier said than done when your father is Stefano DiMera.
DOOL Spoilers – Who Was Peter Blake?
Unfortunately Peter’s shady past came back to haunt him and rather than fessing up to Jen about the man he used to be, he took the easy way out and covered his tracks by lacing her mother’s office with toxic paint and talking to her through a statue until everyone decided she needed to be re-committed to an asylum. Works every time.
Desperate to hold onto Jennifer, Peter tried to keep his nose clean after that but as the saying goes, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. And despite the best of them to walk the straight and narrow, Peter committed a few transgressions during his stay in Salem.
He shot and killed Jude St. Clair to keep Jude from exposing Peter’s dealings to his now wife, Jennifer. He helped Kristen hypnotize John into sleeping with her and proceeded to help her hide the fact that she lost the baby that resulted from it.
He attempted to literally steal Jen away from Jack by kidnapping her but instead helped Stefano kidnap her mother Laura and erase her short term memory.
Then somewhere along the way he came down with Jungle Madness which makes you do crazy things even in the jungles of Salem.
Things like attacking FBI agents and developing odd obsessions with the circus. The illness forced Peter to attempt a second kidnapping of Jennifer, this one successful and seemingly fatal.
Distraught, Peter turned himself in and was given an antidote. Stefano refused to bail him out but did pull strings to get him sent to a white collar prison somewhere.
It was mentioned over a decade later that he had been released from prison and disappeared. And other than the afore mentioned board meeting zoom calls, no one appears to have seen him since.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Is Peter Blake Working Undercover?
Which seems strange. Why should this brother from yet another mother be banished for so long? Sure, Peter committed his share of misdeeds during his stay at Chez DiMera, but they comprise only a mere fraction of the crimes committed by the nefarious family.
When compared to the infractions carried out by the likes of siblings EJ or Kristen, both of whom have come home to roost and run the company after far more egregious deeds, it hardly seems fair that Peter be given a lifetime sentence of being ostracized.
So maybe he’s not. What if this whole time Peter’s been working with the DiMeras behind the scenes? What if Peter is Megan’s accomplice? What if he’s the one keeping her one step ahead of Harris on his pursuit to bring her back to Salem and to justice?
What if he’s been managing the facility in Italy where EJ recovered from being burned past the point of being recognizable and where Holly came out of her coma?
Or best theory yet, what if he’s the one who’s been running the warehouse in Nashville where all the dead bodies from Salem go until they are needed for a new storyline?!
DOOL Prediction: Jennifer Devereaux Reunites With An Old Flame.
Wherever he’s been, whatever he’s been doing, it’s high time for Peter to come back home! Kristen needs a true ally in that house and Peter always seems to have her back, even in his absence.
Jennifer needs something to do on the rare occasions they fly her in from Boston and quite frankly, I much preferred her with Peter than with Jack! There. I said it. Cancel me! And it would just be fun to see how his presence would shake up the stale dynamic of the DiMera mansion.
