General Hospital spoilers tease that there will be five key takeaways for fans to watch for in this week’s General Hospital, from Monday, April 20 through Thursday, April 24. Monday through Thursday will be brand new episodes, with Friday being a “Flashback Friday” episode.
1) The Mystery Of The Snake In Ava Jerome Cassadine’s Bag And How It Relates To Charlotte Cassadine’s Custody
The mystery of the snake that showed up in Ava Jerome Cassadine’s (Maura West) bag at Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) will be revealed this week, as Ava will accuse Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) of putting it there to drive her away from their loveless in-name-only marriage, while in another part of the Metro Court Mayor Laura Collins, (Genie Francis) Lulu Spencer, (Emme Rylan) and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) will be at another table.
Charlotte will ask Lulu to go get another drink, and as she is at the bar to get her drink she will be spotted by Nikolas, who will ask her how the children at the party reacted to the snake after Ava claims children were terrorized. Charlotte will say most of the children thought it was cool although Ava screamed pretty loud! Laura will talk to Lulu about the custody war going on between herself and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) over Charlotte.
Laura will tell Lulu that Valentin wants the same things for Charlotte that they do, but Valentin will be struck by his daughter’s behavior and thrown for a loop when he gets an alert from his credit card, which apparently he has Charlotte on as an additional, that a purchase was made at Randy’s Reptile Roundup and he’ll realize that Charlotte bought the snake that he hears was found in Ava’s bag! The two of them will have a talk, after which Lulu will receive a surprising phone call – possibly in relation to Charlotte’s custody, from Valentin!
2) GH Spoilers – The Turf Wars Continue As Sonny Corinthos Tries To Deal With Both Cyrus Renault And His Rapidly Deteriorating Father
The turf wars and the plan to take down Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) continue, as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) tries to deal with both Renault and his rapidly deteriorating father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) who is heading closer to death. Sonny will be surprised by Renault calling him for a meeting, but then it looks like he may have to deal with an emergency regarding Mike, and misses the meeting with Cyrus! Sonny will learn his options, probably regarding Mike’s care or possibly worse news – and he will confide in Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Meanwhile, Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford, (Briana Nicole Henry) who has been under Renault’s thumb even after she did what he told her, will consider resigning, while former mobster Julian Jerome (William DeVry) catches the attention of an unwelcome source, possibly also Cyrus Renault. Meanwhile, the aftermath of the kidnapping of Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) continues as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) continues to try to get Cameron to talk about his experience, and only wants what’s best for him.
3) Davis Girls Drama
There will be Davis girls drama this week as Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) finally gets around to apologizing to her mother, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahan) for making her so upset that she fell off the wagon and got drunk, and had to call Julian for assistance! Julian had then gone to GH in a rage, and punched Dr. Neil Byrne (Joe Flanagan) in the nose, which was an unfortunately well-publicized event since the altercation was so loud!
It pretty much killed Julian’s budding relationship with Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) as well, who left town again, and getting a job in Boston, MA…his temper was a total turnoff for her! Wednesday, Sam crosses Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) possibly about her younger sister Molly Lansing-Davis’ (Haley Pullos) one night stand with him, and Thursday Alexis apparently has more drama, with her day going from bad to worse! Meanwhile, Jason finds himself making the gut-wrenching decision to break up with Sam for real, in an effort to keep her from breaking her parole agreement and winding back up in Pentonville Prison for two years.

4) General Hospital Spoilers – The Wiley Corinthos Custody Case Ramps Up
The custody case over Wiley Corinthos (Erik and Theodore Olson) will also ramp up this week, with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) being reluctant to leave his son’s side. A frank conversation with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) by Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), spurred on by Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will upset Willow, when they push her to marry Michael to make sure that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) doesn’t get full custody or even split custody of the baby, and finally, by the end of the week, Chase has to push the envelope, devastating Willow. As for Nelle, her new employer and possibly birth mother Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will learn a little more about her.
5) Flashback Friday Episode Preview
The Flashback Friday episode will be a Sonny-centric episode that first aired on November 12, 2018, asking the question, “What if you could go back and change your life?” This episode has Sonny dreaming what would have happened had his life played out differently, if he had made different choices and how it might have affected others who are in his current life. His son, Joshua Benard plays a young Sonny. Interestingly enough, Sonny dreams himself a cop instead of a mobster!
That’s all for this week’s Five Key Takeaways from General Hospital. Stay tuned to the show, and keep checking General Hospital spoilers for all the latest news, updates and developments!
