5 Reasons Why General Hospital Needs Helena Cassadine The Queen Villainess Back

ABC General Hospital updates and spoilers tease that fans never stop wishing for their fave characters to return even if it means returning from the dead! Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) was a classic vixen, able to mix it up with the bad guys yet somehow retaining an ounce of love (not a lot more than that!) for certain family members.

Helena debuted when Elizabeth Taylor played the iconic villainess in 1981. Constance Towers is the latest incarnation of the lady fans love to hate.

Here are five reasons why GH needs Helena Cassadine back.

1) Helena Cassadine Is The First And True Ice Princess

GH fans know that the words Ice Princess refers to a nefarious plot to freeze the world. In 1981 Helena’s husband Mikkos Cassadine hatched the plan to freeze the world but he died before this could be accomplished.

As a result, Helena appeared in Port Charles and delivered an evil curse to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). This curse introduced the one and only Helena Cassadine who is a villainess on a level all her own.

2) GH Spoilers – Laura Spencer Needs A Worthy Adversary

Over the years Helena has haunted the super couple, and now Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) is the mayor. As such, there is not a worthier adversary for upright and pristine Laura than downright sinister Helena. Having these two go at it in Port Charles would be the ultimate battle of good vs. evil.

3) Nikolas Cassadine Needs A Hand With His Son Spencer

Laura’s son Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) could use some dastardly direction right about now. Once a fierce overlord, the Cassadine heir has gone soft. Where he once blustered and bullied, Nikolas is now a pale shadow of himself. If Helena came back she would need two minutes to whip her grandson into shape and back to form as a true bloodthirsty Cassadine.

4) General Hospital Updates – Without Liesl Obrecht, The Town Has No Evil Genius

There’s a vacancy in the demented lady department in Port Charles now that Liesl Obrecht (Katheleen Gati) is gone. Who better to scare little kids and menace adults than the OG Cassadine herself? She could give Liesl lessons in malevolence and that’s saying something!

5) Constance Towers Is The Epitome Of Star Power
