Queen Elizabeth Left Embarrassed By Meghan Markle On Her Wedding Day

It looks like Meghan Markle really did manage to irk the queen before she even became an official member of the royal family.

That’s because Queen Elizabeth was none too pleased when Prince Harry’s new wife wore white to their wedding back in May 2018. The queen at the time just felt like it wasn’t right and was left embarrassed over the matter.

One source close to the situation even put it this way to The Daily Mail: “Those two words embraced everything she felt about the dramas in the run-up to the marriage and the Disneyesque spectacle of the day itself.”

“In the monarch’s view, it was not appropriate for a divorcee getting remarried in church to look quite so flamboyantly virginal.” As our readers can imagine, the internet had a lot to say about the matter.

Meghan Markle Has Made No Comments About The Matter

Some have even commented with, “According to H&M, the royals are the ones who insisted on the large spectacle wedding. Having done that, why would anyone think she wouldn’t wear white?”

“I suppose she could have gone with some off-white color, but really why? The protocol that only applies to Meghan?”

Another critic wrote, “If the Queen really had an issue with Meghan’s wedding dress being too white due to old traditions and wedding protocols, what exactly did the Queen think about Kate wearing white to another woman’s wedding?”

And then there was this comment as well: “And her own daughter, Princess Anne, was divorced and wore white when she married Tim Laurence in 1992. Make it make sense.”

“A bigger question is why is this nonsense is coming up seven years after the fact? And of course Liz isn’t here now to defend her own statement, even if it’s true.”

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said. Watch this space for more.
