The Young And The Restless: Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers)ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal even though Michelle Stafford has made the switch and has played Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless for almost a year now, a lot of fans can’t help but miss the actress in her old role as Nina Reeves on General Hospital. Could it be that Michelle is just better suited as Nina? Here are five reasons why that might be true.

#1 That Spitfire Attitude

Forget ‘There’s Something About Mary,’ because clearly, there’s definitely something about Michelle Stafford. While she was still in her previous role as Nina Reeves at General Hospital, she had the kind of spitfire attitude and delivery of her one-liners that still has some fans talking about it until today. Michelle’s version of Nina wasn’t whiney, she wasn’t frivolous and she certainly wasn’t a complainer. Instead, she was someone who knew how to take control and be in control of every situation she was in.

#2 The Art Of Seduction

Michelle Stafford is the kind of actress that doesn’t have to say much, yet the way that she carries herself along with her actions speak volumes. Even her former co-star James Patrick Stuart credits Michelle orchestrating the love triangle between Nina, Valentin, and Jax before it even happens (and of course after she left the show).

James recently told Soaps in Depth in an interview, “This drama is all thanks to Michelle Stafford making those lovey-dovey eyes at Ingo Rademacher at the Nurses Ball last year! It’s funny, I look at that early episode when Nina had Indian food with Jax in the Crimson office and I can see it. I know Michelle: she knew there was money to be made in a triangle, so she worked it. Dammit, Michelle! Now we have no choice. We are all doomed.”

#3 The Chemistry With Jasper “Jax” Jacks

Plus, there’s no denying that fans loved to have seen more scenes of Michelle with her co-star Ingo Rademacher as this version of Nina and Jax had so much chemistry between them that it was palpable. What’s more, there’s no denying that Michelle Stafford is truly one of the sexiest women on daytime television. If there is one actress that can make every man stop what he is doing by simply entering a room, it’s Michelle. She would have Jax weak in the knees in no time.

#4 Drawing Battle Lines With Nelle Benson

While General Hospital fans are enjoying the drama between Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and Cynthia Watros’ version of Nina, it would have been interesting to see Michelle Stafford draw battle lines with Nina. That, or find out that Nelle could possibly be her long-lost daughter. Sure, everyone is drawn into the scenes of Nina and Nelle together, but could you imagine someone so statuesque as Michelle Stafford ends up being Chloe Lanier’s on-screen mother?

#5 Fans Aren’t Loving The Chemistry With Nick Newman On Y&R

While the jury is still out on whether or not people are loving Michelle Stafford in her old role as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless, others have made it clear that they are not loving the chemistry with her on-screen ex Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) lately. In fact, some are saying that the role of Phyllis should go back to actress Gina Tognoni while Michelle Stafford should make her way back to Port Charles. Do you agree?

      I like both Michelle and Cynthia as Nina. However I do not see how they could get Michelle back as Nina. Michelle is on Y&R now. I think that she is happy there. I do not know if there is any indication that Michelle would leave Y&R and come back to GH. Cynthia is currently Nina so I am not sure if GH want Cynthia to leav or she would want to leave. However if Cynthia wanted or needed to leave GH I would want them to get Michelle back as Nina. If GH got Michelle back as Nina then maybe Y&R could bring back Gina Tognoni as Phyllis. I know that the Y&R fans really liked Gina as Phyllis. I had thought at one time that Gina would have been great as Nina too.
