General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas And Valentin At Loggerheads Over The Estate – Will They Compromise Before It’s Too Late?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) could do something that would settle the whole family feud over Mikkos Cassadine’s (John Colicos) estate regardless of who the heir is in the codicil to Mikkos’ will; they could come to a compromise for the sake of their children and split the estate!

General Hospital Spoilers – It Boils Down To Who Is The More “Cassadine” Cassadine

It all boils down to who is the more “Cassadine” Cassadine, not meaning who is more evil or cutthroat, but who is more to respect Cassadine family history or not. The old guard is all dead, and there is nothing in the will and likely nothing in the codicil to the will that specifically prohibits an heir from splitting the estate with another; just that it is supposed to be the eldest Cassadine male, which until the codicil is found, if it’s found, would be Valentin.

Of course, Nikolas should not have promised Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) something that he was not able to deliver at the time he made the offer, and if Valentin spilt the estate with Nikolas, Nikolas may not be able to make good on his promise of selling Cassadine Shipping to Jax, since Valentin may have to agree. Valentin certainly won’t agree on the part that Nikolas said he’d take down Valentin so Jax could get to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros)!

GH Spoilers – The Two Children Will Squabble

Even if Nikolas and Valentin would decide to split the estate for the sake of their two children, the children themselves will squabble over it – especially Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel)! He won’t want to share money (he won’t have to share money at that point, he will HAVE a SHARE of money, as well as his cousin!) with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez), Nikolas, if he wants to stay true to his mother’s side of the family, would need to agree to the estate being split so Charlotte could inherit.

It is not fair that the will states only male Cassadines can inherit, but all Valentin would have to do is make his own will stating that Charlotte will inherit from him. Nikolas, because Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is his mother and Valentin is his uncle, is doubly related to Charlotte – she is both his cousin on Valentin’s side and his niece on his maternal side because Charlotte is Lulu Spencer’s (Emme Rylan) mother, and Nikolas’ little sister!

General Hospital Spoilers – If The Codicil Is Found, Nikolas Cassadine Will Have To Decide; If Not, Then Valentin Cassadine

If the codicil is found then Nikolas would have to make the decision whether to split the money with Valentin so that Charlotte could inherit. He will be in a precarious position with Spencer either way, since as Charlotte’s uncle on his maternal side he could make a will to split between Spencer and Charlotte and leave Valentin out of it. Spencer would still be mad at him no matter which way he decided. But if the codicil is not found then Valentin will have to make the decision.

Then it would come down to a matter of not which Cassadine is more “Cassadine”, but a decision of who is the bigger man and who is the less selfish! Do both men really want their children growing up with that kind of family dysfunction? It already is hurting Charlotte, who hates that her mother and her father hate each other!
