Coronavirus Affecting Entertainment Industry
There are a lot of industries and businesses being affected by coronavirus. Schools are being closed, gatherings of more than 500 people are currently banned in Dallas County, Texas and employees are being urged to work at home if possible.
The entertainment industry is also being affected. Many shows have stopped taping in front of audiences. Some are even stopping production entirely and General Hospital is the latest television show to do just that.
GH Spoilers: Soap Suspends Production
On Instagram, SoapCentral reported that General Hospital is suspending production beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. This means that all cast members and crew will not be working on set. They are to stay home to prevent the spread of the infection.
How Long Will Production Suspension Last?
According to the social media post, General Hospital spoilers reveal that the production suspension will last until Friday, April 10, 2020. That’s nearly a month that filming will not take place. The suspension could be extended if the virus continues to spread.
General Hospital Spoilers: Will This Prevent New Episodes From Airing?
It is stated that the soap films three to four weeks in advance. This means that fans will still see new episodes. The only thing that could prevent us from not viewing new episodes is if the production suspension is extended any longer.
