General Hospital: police commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry)General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that fans are having a hard time accepting the behavior of Port Charles’s police commissioner, Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry). Although she’s been at her job for a little over three years now, it doesn’t seem she’s doing such a bang-up job.

GH fans may recall that Jordan definitely seems to be over her head right now. Not only was she caught unaware of master criminal Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) move to cement his business in Port Charles, but her former squad of teammates from the DEA have all been subsequently murdered while on her watch. Now, even her son TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellows) has gone missing and it’s taking Jordan forever to put two and two together.

General Hospital Spoilers – Reasons Jordan Ashford Is Acting Like She Is

Moreover, while she appears to be bumbling around Port Charles in inept fashion, mafia bosses like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) look like they’re better informed and more willing to put a stop to the encroachment of Cyrus’s organization than she is!


Why she is acting like this is anyone’s guess, but there are some things to consider. GH viewers may recall that Jordan always goes on and on about standing on her principles. According to her, those principles have prevented her from allying with Sonny in order to remove the threat of Cyrus Renault. Remember, however, that this is sheer hypocrisy! She didn’t seem to hold the same principles when she worked to bring down Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) together with the known murderer, Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).

GH Spoilers – Jordan Ashford Tampered With Evidence

Moreover, she herself admitted to tampering with evidence back in the day when she took Cyrus down in the first place! Apparently, she cherry-picks the moments when she stands on principle. The truth is, many fans just might agree that if Jordan continues to allow her personal issues to get in the way of keeping Port Charles safe, perhaps it’s time for this wishy-washy GH character to be fired!

If Jordan would simply listen to the advice of her husband, or if she would seek out the advice of someone like Mac Scorpio (John J. York), Port Charles’s former police commissioner, she might get some perspective and change course. If she would stop holding to hypocritical ideals and explore whether there is a way to ally with Sonny without compromising her job, maybe she might be more effective in her position.

Then again, maybe it’s simply time for the town’s mayor, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) to hire a new police commissioner without personal ties to organized crime that we all know to create massive conflicts of interest.
